BREAKING NEWS :Auburn Head coach is suspended due to…
The No. 8 Auburn Tigers fell 79-75 to the Alabama Crimson Tide on the road inside Coleman Coliseum last night.
What did Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl have to say after the game?
Some issues with the lighting inside Coleman Coliseum delayed the game shortly after tipoff. Pearl talked about the effect it had.
“I don’t think it impacted us at all,” Pearl said. “I gave Nate a hard time, I said, ‘Look, if you guys want a new facility, just get a new facility. You don’t have to turn the lights off.’ It was just one of those things. It happens.”
Auburn struggled in the first half but came out strong in the second. Pearl talked about what led to the turnaround.
“I thought we just got really good leadership,” Pearl said. “We got good chemistry, we’ve got great kids. We got some stops, and we had some shots. We came here to win a game. You could tell. We came here to win. We didn’t, but you could tell the way we came back in the second half.”
Alabama guard Rylan Griffen made things difficult for Auburn by putting on a clinic from 3-point range. Pearl talked about the impact Griffen had.
Auburn will be back in action on Saturday when it takes on the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Humphrey Coliseum in Starkville at 2:30 p.m. CT. The television broadcast can be found on SEC Network and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics App.
