Newcastle United has officially signed 18-year-old Gambian forward Yankuba Minteh from Odense Boldklub for a fee of around €7 million.

Minteh will join the club on July 1, 2023, and will immediately be loaned to Dutch champions Feyenoord for the 2023/24 season to continue his development.

Minteh had an impressive season in the Danish Superliga, scoring six goals and providing seven assists in 21 games. His performances have also earned him a call-up to the Gambian national team.
