Stephen and Ayesha Curry are busy with basketball, recipe authoring, and raising children.
They met at church in North Carolina when they were teenagers. Stephen and Ayesha married in June 2011 and had their first child, daughter Riley, a year later. Their family grew again when they had their second daughter, Ryan, in 2015, and their son, Canon, in 2018. In March 2024, the couple revealed that they were expecting their fourth child.
In May 2021, Ayesha spoke up about becoming a first-time mother at a young age, expressing how tough it was to balance her work and parenting her children. She discovered her passion after starting a recipe blog, which has since evolved into an empire that includes restaurants, cookbooks, and a television show.
Stephen, a nine-time NBA All-Star, has mastered balancing his busy career with parenting, however he has admitted that his children aren’t very thrilled with his basketball abilities.
“I don’t think they care too much about how many times the ball goes in the basket,” he said, adding that at home, “you’re just dad, and that’s the best part about it.”
Stephen has introduced Riley, Ryan, and Canon to “pretty much every sport,” although he is more interested with their enjoyment of childhood than with their athletic potential.
“We’re all backyard sports right now,” he explained to PEOPLE in October 2023. “Not too organised. We have plenty of time. It’s more about boosting their confidence and allowing them to enjoy everything they do.
