So sad: Michigan wolverines defensive back DJ Waller Jr deal terminated today.

On Wednesday, the Michigan Wolverines lost a young defensive back who showed promise via the NCAA transfer portal.

Over the weekend, Sherrone Moore and the Wolverines—winners of the national championship the previous season—finished up spring football. The transfer portal has led to roster churn, which is to be expected for the storied Big Ten program.

Multiple reports state that DJ Waller Jr., a defensive back in his second year, has logged into the site. Waller played in eleven games for the Wolverines in their winning campaign. Youngstown, Ohio’s three-star prospect recorded 12 tackles and one pass breakup.

After spring evaluations, Waller, who was vying for Michigan’s No. 2 CB position, obviously received some unfavorable news. Moore, on the other hand, gave the former Wolverine nothing but praise.

“That child has the talent to outperform everybody in the world. He possesses length, speed, and athleticism. He has no fear. He’ll go make a play with the ball after he tackles. Regarding Hill, Moore stated, “He’s everything you want in a corner,” as reported by Wolverines Wire. “So he’s just had a heck of a spring.”
