There is at least one possible trade partner for the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
The Vikings are anticipated to attempt to select a quarterback this year in an effort to find a long-term replacement for Kirk Cousins, who left to join the Atlanta Falcons. Sam Darnold was signed by the Vikings for the current campaign, but Kevin O’Connell needs a stronger quarterback behind center to throw the ball to Jordan Addison and Justin Jefferson while they’re still at their best.
In the first round, the Vikings have two selections. To replace Danielle Hunter, they might select a quarterback outside of the top 10 and select a different player, most likely a pass rusher. The other option is to combine those two first-round selections and trade them into the top five in order to select a highly-regarded quarterback prospect. But the Vikings would require a trading partner in order for that to occur.
