So sad: Kevin O’Connell of Minnesota Vikings is shocked, QB Josh Dobbs and Jaren Hall terminated their contracts today.
The Minnesota Vikings are in search of a franchise quarterback, but it might not be necessary to search outside of their own team.
On the April 1 episode of “The Adam Schefter Podcast,” former Vikings quarterback Josh Dobbs had his thoughts about Jaren Hall, whom Minnesota selected in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL draft.
During his first season, Hall played in just three games for the Vikings, starting two of them, and finishing with a 1-1 record.
In Week 8’s days game against the Green Bay Packers, Kirk Cousins tore his ACL. Hall played his first action of the game late in the second half, helping Minnesota win. The following week, in the game that Dobbs was referring to, Hall started in place of Nick Mullens, who was still healing from a back ailment. However, in the first quarter, while attempting to score a touchdown, Hall sustained a concussion.
