The Alabama Crimson Tide will play its 50th NCAA Tournament game on Friday in Spokane. Alabama will try to win their 26th Big Dance championship against Charleston.
Alabama Crimson Tide supporters have experienced both happiness and sorrow from Alabama’s NCAA Tournament past. There have been amazing victories as well as losses. Alabama Basketball has not even come close to winning the greatest collegiate basketball championship, coming from a school where winning titles is the measure of athletic success.
Only in 2004 did the Crimson Tide make it to the Elite Eight. Additionally, Alabama has advanced nine times to the Big Dance Sweet 16.
It takes more than just identifying the players who excelled in the Tide’s 25 Big Dance victories to rank the top Alabama basketball players according to their performance in the NCAA Tournament. Outstanding performances by Crimson Tide players have also occurred in NCAA Tournament games that Alabama did not win.
Ten players from the Alabama Crimson Tide All-Time NCAA Tournament squad are listed here, divided into the guard, forward, and center positions. Reducing the list to ten players was really challenging. The Alabama Crimson Tide All-Time list includes at least one NCAA Tournament performance that more than ten Alabama players may claim. A seven-player NCAA Tournament Honorable Mention list is also provided in order to recognize the deserving individuals.
