With the return of all three coordinators—offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, defensive coordinator Matt Burke, and special teams coordinator Frank Ross—the Texans coaching staff was mostly unaltered.
Along with head offensive line coach Chris Strausser and assistant offensive line coach Cole Popovich—who stayed with the AFC South champion on an upgraded contract after interviewing for the top offensive line coaching position with the Washington Commanders—the Texans also hired assistant offensive line coach Zach Yenser, a former offensive line coach at the University of Kentucky.
After Nick Saban resigned and Kentucky hired former Alabama offensive line coach Eric Wolford, Yenser signed a one-year extension with the team before leaving.
Yenser was the San Francisco 49ers’ assistant offensive line coach.

Mike Snyder was brought on by the Texans as an offensive assistant.
Snyder used to be an offensive assistant and football analyst for the Atlanta Falcons. He also worked as an assistant quarterbacks coach and quality control coach for the Chicago Bears.
The Texans brought back their former assistant special teams coach, Sean Baker, as a defensive assistant. Baker took a family leave of absence from football. Baker, a former Youngstown State special teams coordinator and outside linebackers coach, played safety in the NFL for the Tampa Bay Bucs, Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, and Cleveland Browns.
The Texans announced the hiring of assistant defensive coordinator Rod Wright, a former defensive end for the University of Texas, and the previously reported promotion of Wright to head defensive line coach in lieu of Jacques Cesaire. linebackers coach Bill Davis, a seasoned former NFL defensive coordinator who collaborated with Burke with the Arizona Cardinals, and line coach Nate Ollie, formerly the defensive line coach for the Indianapolis Colts.
