ESPN NEWS: Multiple insiders reveals Texas are set to sign a blockbuster deal with a young and vibrant NFL QB
Byron Murphy II, a junior defensive tackle for Texas football, had an outstanding performance on Day 1 of the 2024 NFL Combine in Indianapolis on February 29.
Murphy’s draft status skyrocketed as a result of his outstanding performance on the first day of play at the NFL Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. In the 2024 NFL Draft, he was already considered a possible middle-to-late first-round selection. If Murphy keeps performing like he did on the first day of the combine’s testing, he will probably be a middle first-round selection.
Murphy was one of Pro Football Focus’s first-day standouts from the 2024 NFL Combine. Murphy performed incredibly well for a defensive lineman who is six feet and three hundred pounds, according to PFF, even though he “wasn’t as impressive” as Florida State defensive tackle Braden Fiske on the first day of the combine.
