Prior to Ferrari setting the fastest speeds on days two and three of testing, Red Bull led the time sheets on the first day of competition.
But Alguersuari was talking about testing through La Sexta, and he believes Red Bull will win when the season gets underway.

When Toro Rosso was first acquired from Minardi, the team was mostly utilized to bring in rookie drivers for Formula 1.
They had a mixed success rate of those drivers being promoted to Red Bull and this reason – under the name RB – experienced race winner Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda will compete for the Italian outfit.
However, back in the day, Toro Rosso gave opportunities to the likes of Vitantonio Liuzzi, Sebastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari.
The 33-year-old Spaniard was introduced to the team halfway through 2009 and spent two full seasons on the F1 grid before becoming Pirelli’s test driver in 2012.
He was part of the Red Bull family and Alguersuari is very confident that they’ll be dominant in F1 again this year, especially with Max Verstappen at the helm.
While praising the reigning world champions, Alguersuari also acknowledged another squad competing on the grid, saying, “This year, Red Bull has made an airplane.” It’s also the most exquisite automobile ever made. Because Max never fails, they too become unbeatable.
“That the Aston Martin is a dependable vehicle with a high lap count. They must possess effective downforce.
Because of his ties to Red Bull, Alguersuari will be happy to see Verstappen win another championship, but they will need to improve on their previous season’s performance.
Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, and Aston Martin are among the teams who will bet on themselves to win many races this year.
If not, they will be hoping that the new rules in 2026 will at least slightly level the playing field.
