BRAKING NEWS: Former Dallas top QB return back and….
Tuesday marked the start of the Dallas Mavericks’ practice session after their hiatus during the NBA All-Star break.
Due to a right knee ailment that he has been dealing with, Dante Exum was not present for practice. In the first reports, his injury was classified as “soreness”; later, it was modified to “bursitis.” After playing in the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Luka Doncic was granted an excused leave. He will return from vacation in time for Wednesday’s practice.
Exum’s right knee was not practiced. Luka is away on holiday. Following practice on Tuesday, Mavs coach Jason Kidd stated, “He’ll be back for practice tomorrow.”
Since January 26, when he played against the Atlanta Hawks and finished with nine points and three assists in 27 minutes, Exum has been sidelined. He is anticipated to be sidelined when the Mavs play the Suns. He was unable to play in the team’s final ten games prior to the All-Star break.
Kidd did say that Exum might make a comeback during the team’s impending four-game Eastern Conference road trip, which starts on Sunday against the Indiana Pacers and stops at Cleveland, Toronto, Boston, and the Cavaliers.
“No obstacle. He has been exercising. He’ll work on his non-contact skills tomorrow. I believe that somewhere along that road journey is where they want to bring him back.”
