Benji Marshall, the coach of the Wests Tigers, has selected a 26-man roster for the NRL Pre-season Challenge against the St George Illawarra Dragons on Saturday in Mudgee.
Several players, including Justin Olam, will play for the team for the first time.
Olam, who was rested for the Warriors’ victory in Christchurch last weekend, will get the start against the Dragons.
Alongside Starford To’a, who will also be playing in his first game of the year, the PNG international will line up in the centers.
Another player making his debut for the Wests Tigers is Solomon Alaimalo, a quick outside back who signed with the team in December after spending multiple seasons with the Waikato Chiefs in Super Rugby.
Lachlan Galvin, a local junior who is eighteen, has been named on the bench after recovering from a calf issue.
After being rested the previous weekend, Alex Twal and Justin Matamua are also scheduled for their first hit-out.
