JUST NOW: The Jerod Mayo blunthy explian reason for leaving New England Patriots for NFL

The NFL’s record for most wins by a head coach is six Super Bowl victories and 31 postseason victories by Bill Belichick.

Patriots coach Mayo says 'everything under consideration'

The 71-year-old Belichick was not interested in being hired by any of the seven NFL teams (the Tennessee Titans, the Los Angeles Chargers, the Carolina Panthers, the Atlanta Falcons, the Seattle Seahawks, and the Washington Commanders) that had head coaching openings this offseason aside from the New England Patriots. Thus, the 2024 season may mark the first time since 1974 that an NFL coaching staff does not include Belichick.

Trent Brown, an offensive tackle with the New England Patriots, will become a free agent next month when his contract expires on Monday. In 2024, the Patriots will be subject to a $2 million dead cap hit. After only 11 games (eight starts) in his third season with the team, Brown, 30, recently concluded his time there. After leading the Patriots to a Super Bowl victory in 2018, it was his second stint with the team in New England. Brown has participated in 100 games (93 starts) across his career with the Patriots, Raiders (2019–20), and San Francisco 49ers (2015–17). The Niners selected him in the seventh round of the 2015 draft, and as of right now, he has over $65 million in earnings, per Spotrac. –Media at the Field Level
