A reporter disparages 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan harshly for using Steve Wilks as a scapegoat.
The San Francisco 49ers, led by head coach Kyle Shanahan, are currently coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 58, which was held on Sunday night at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 49ers jumped out to an early 10-0 lead and kept the usually formidable Kansas City offense scoreless for the majority of the first half. However, Shanahan’s team eventually gave up and lost in overtime, allowing Patrick Mahomes and company to win their third Lombardi Trophy in as many years.
In spite of what many thought to be a solid defensive effort by the 49ers against the Chiefs, Shanahan recently shocked the NFL by announcing that he would be sacking defensive coordinator Steve Wilks. One of those individuals was none other than Washington Post NFL insider Jason La Canfora, who recently attacked Shanahan on X, the social media site previously known as Twitter.
