Bill’s coach, Sean McDermott confirmed 3 players. With the NFL Draft just under three weeks away, excitement is building. At the moment, the Tennessee Titans hold the No. 1 pick, and early signs point to them targeting a quarterback—most notably Cam Ward from Miami. While teams at the top of the draft will get first crack at elite talent, others will have to wait much longer.

The Buffalo Bills fall into the latter category, currently set to pick at No. 30. But just because they’re near the end of the first round doesn’t mean they’ll stay put. Since 2022, the Bills have traded up twice in the first round—to grab CB Kaiir Elam and TE Dalton Kincaid—and even traded out of the first round entirely last year.

Armed with 10 draft picks this year, it’s hard to imagine GM Brandon Beane standing pat. Known for his willingness to move up the board for impact players—as long as the price is right—Beane could be ready to strike again.

If Buffalo is still on the board at No. 30 and one of the following three prospects is available midway through the round, it would be wise for the Bills to at least consider making a move:

3 Prospects the Bills Should Seriously Consider Trading Up For

3 players Buffalo Bills should consider trading up for in 2025 NFL Draft

DT Kenneth Grant, Michigan
The Bills might not need to trade up for Grant, but if another team looks poised to snag him, they’ll need to act fast. With his massive frame and ability to stuff the run and generate pressure, Grant would be a strong long-term replacement for DaQuan Jones. He’d be a great fit alongside Ed Oliver on the defensive line.

WR Matthew Golden, Texas
Golden turned heads at the NFL Combine with a blazing 4.29 40-yard dash. His speed and ability to create separation make him a quarterback’s dream. In his lone year at Texas, he posted just under 1,000 yards and scored 9 touchdowns. Given his combine performance, he may go earlier than expected, and the Bills might need to climb the board to secure him as a dynamic weapon for Josh Allen.

CB Will Johnson, Michigan
Landing Johnson would require a significant move, but it’s not impossible. A recent Pro Football Focus mock draft projected the Bills trading picks No. 30 and 62 to the Buccaneers to jump up to No. 19 and select him. Johnson is a top-three corner in this class and would form a formidable duo with Christian Benford. He fits seamlessly into Buffalo’s defensive scheme and could give them two CB1-caliber players.
