5-Star In-State Tight End Gives Georgia Fans Hope

5-Star In-State Tight End Gives Georgia Fans Hope. Georgia football and Kirby Smart are making waves on the recruiting trail once again. While the Bulldogs are known for their national recruiting reach, landing top in-state talent is always a priority—especially when the recruit is among the best in the country. One of those key in-state targets is Kaiden Prothro, one of the top tight ends in the 2026 class.

Prothro recently revealed his top five schools, and Georgia made the list. However, it won’t be an easy battle for the Bulldogs, as Florida, Auburn, Texas, and Alabama are also in the mix.

The most important part of Prothro’s recruitment will be his formal visit from May 30 through the weekend, even if he has previously made multiple trips to Athens. Georgia will have a critical opportunity to strengthen its position in this very fought competition during this visit. Bulldogs supporters have every cause to be hopeful, especially considering Georgia’s track record of producing top-tier tight ends.

Eagles’ Georgia Players Shine Ahead of Super Bowl

When the Philadelphia Eagles take the field for the Super Bowl, they’ll be led by a group of familiar faces—five former Georgia Bulldogs, four of whom played critical roles on the team’s national championship squad. Nakobe Dean, Nolan Smith, Jalen Carter, and Jordan Davis are key defensive players, while Kelee Ringo has become a reliable special teams contributor.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni spoke about the unique bond between these former Georgia players during his Super Bowl media session.

They’ve been performing together for years, but their quality clearly speaks for itself. They have a really strong bond both on and off the field,” Sirianni said. At his selection party, Nakobe Dean was among the first individuals that Nolan Smith embraced after we selected him. The bond between players is unique; they work harder for one another because they don’t want to disappoint one another.

“Coach Smart and his staff have done an incredible job,” Sirianni said, praising Kirby Smart and his Georgia staff for helping these players grow into NFL-ready talent. Here, we’re merely attempting to expand on it. 5-Star In-State Tight End Gives Georgia Fans Hope.

The Eagles’ heavy investment in Georgia defenders has paid off, with many playing key roles on the road to the Super Bowl. As Dean, Smith, Carter, Davis, and Ringo take the field, it’s clear that a bit of Athens, Georgia, will be present in the game. And if recently signed Lewis Cine gets called into action, that Georgia connection will be even stronger.

Kansas City should be on high alert—Philly’s Dawgs are ready to hunt.
