Fans got to watch two basketball aliens battle on the court Friday night when the Milwaukee Bucks visited the San Antonio Spurs. Victor Wembanyama and Giannis Antetokounmpo were undoubtedly the game’s biggest draws at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, and the two made sure they lived up to the expectations. Even more impressively, Wembanyama defeated Antetokounmpo on defense at least twice.

Early on in the match, there were sparks between the two when Wembanyama blocked two of Antetokounmpo’s shot attempts in consecutive possessions.

Defensive flexing by Victor Wembanyama against Giannis Antetokounmpo

First, San Antonio made a transition basket as Antetokounmpo attempted to pass Wembanyama’s lengthy arms under the rim but was blocked by the Spurs youngster. In the subsequent possession, Antetokounmpo regained possession of the ball and attempted to stop Wembanyama from dribbling. Wembanyama once again demonstrated his defensive adaptability by timing Antetokounmpo’s shot flawlessly to deny it.

Antetokounmpo is already among the most formidable basketball players in the game, but he is unable to surpass Wembanyama, the unicorn of them all, whose humiliation of the Greek Freak in that sequence serves as yet another powerful warning to the rest of the league about his impending takeover.

Fans’ responses to those crazy Wemby blocks on Antetokounmpo include the following:

One fan declared, “Having Wemby is a cheat code.”

Someone else said, “He’s unstoppable.”

“Get that outta here!” wrote one X user.

Another person said on social media, “Wemby 👽 Block Party.”

From a different comment: “Wemby’s defense is completely out of control! He is demonstrating why he is the block king with two possessions and two blocks.
