On Monday, December 16, McDermott assured reporters that he was “all good.” He reaffirmed that their top quarterback is “all good,” even though they are still testing other guys.

But, with the No. 1 seed still up for grabs, the Bills have already secured their seventh straight AFC East championship and a postseason berth.

After the game, McDermott, who became the first coach in team history to achieve 11 or more wins in five consecutive seasons, seemed unconcerned about Allen’s injury. Instead, he praised Allen’s MVP-level performance. “I’m not surprised; it’s the best I’ve seen him play,” McDermott told reporters. “Once he sets a goal for himself or the team, he’s tough to stop.”
