In Week 14, the Buffalo Bills will be without tight end Dalton Kincaid and wide receiver Keon Coleman, as both have been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. Although both players were listed as questionable on the final injury report, Coleman was reportedly considered more of a game-time decision
Kincaid returned to practice this week but will be out again because of a knee issue, while Coleman is suffering with a wrist problem. Kincaid’s availability might have gone either way because he participated in practice only sporadically on all three days this week.
Due to a knee issue, Kincaid has missed the past two games for the Buffalo Bills, with the injury first occurring in Week 10 against the Indianapolis Colts. Before the injury, he had accumulated 356 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Kincaid is expected to return to the Bills’ lineup next week.
As for Coleman, while he was listed as a limited participant, it became evident that he would need another week to recover after being seen in street clothes during warmups. Despite missing the last three games due to a wrist injury, Coleman currently leads the team with 417 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns.
With their victory over the San Francisco 49ers last week, the Bills secured the AFC East championship. With five games left in the season, Buffalo is still vying for the top seed. The Bills will have to continue playing without Coleman and Kincaid, two pass-catchers.
Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott shared the team’s plan for the remainder of the regular season.
According to the team transcript, McDermott stated, “We have to keep thinking differently, and these guys have done that all season long.” Additionally, it doesn’t matter if it’s winning the division, playing against opponents that people think are a certain size or type of game, or playing during a short week. This season, our boys have done a fantastic job of shifting their mental focus. And I am aware that we must keep doing that. I am aware that they are willing to take on the challenge.
Josh Allen, the quarterback, expressed optimism about the Bills’ upcoming games with the hopes of making a strong postseason run.
“It’s no different this week than it was last week,” Allen stated. “We’re enjoying ourselves while doing what we do, and we’re extremely deliberate about it. This mentality has persisted throughout the season. It’s our dedication to being as prepared as possible and giving it our all each and every time we on the field.”
