The Buffalo Bills have already secured the AFC East with five games remaining in the 2024 NFL regular season.
Josh Allen, Buffalo’s standout quarterback, threw two touchdown passes, ran for a score, and hauled in a receiving touchdown in a 35-10 thumping of non-conference rival San Francisco. The Bills will be a dangerous team with the division title in their back pocket, Allen warned the rest of the NFL after the game.
After the game, he wasn’t the only one who felt ebullient. In a video, the Bills social media staff chastised anyone who had any doubts about the team.
After the departure of star wide receiver Stefon Diggs, the emergence of a formidable Miami Dolphins squad, and Aaron Rodgers returning to full health with the Jets, analysts, sports commentators, and radio hosts widely projected that this season could be one of the worst for the Buffalo Bills in recent memory.
However, the organization celebrated Nick Wright and Shannon Sharpe for their spot-on predictions that the Bills would still claim the AFC East title.
“Keep sleeping on us,” the team quipped, adding a yawning emoji for emphasis.
Following the departure of top wide receiver Stefon Diggs, the rise of the Miami Dolphins, and, finally, a healthy Aaron Rodgers in New York, the film included NFL analysts, sports personalities, and radio commentators predicting that this would be the Bills’ worst season in recent memory. Nonetheless, the organization commended Nick Wright and Shannon Sharpe for their accurate predictions that the Bills would win the AFC East.
“Keep sleeping on us,” the squad joked, emoji-ing yawning.
In the race for the AFC’s top seed, the Buffalo Bills trail the Kansas City Chiefs by one game, despite having beaten them earlier in the season. Buffalo’s remaining schedule includes matchups against the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions over the next two weeks, followed by two games against the New England Patriots and one against the New York Jets.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs will finish the season with games against the Los Angeles Chargers, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Denver Broncos. The question remains: who will secure the coveted No. 1 spot in the AFC?
