It’s time for the sad trombone for New York Jets fans. Once considered Super Bowl contenders by some experts before the season, the Jets have now fallen to a 3-9 record after their Week 13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Aaron Rodgers, a major reason many thought the Jets had a shot at the Super Bowl, played poorly just a day before his 41st birthday.

And here’s where it gets even more entertaining, especially for Buffalo Bills fans. After the Jets’ ninth loss of the season, Rodgers was asked if he thinks the team might change quarterbacks. His response is sure to bring a smile to Bills fans, who always find amusement in the Jets’ misfortune.

Rodgers answered the question about a quarterback change with, “Yeah, I don’t know. We’ll figure that out when we have those conversations.” That certainly sounds like someone who isn’t confident in his ability to be the starting quarterback anymore.

Bills fans can continue enjoying Rodgers’ disastrous season with the Jets. It’s even funnier considering how the offseason narrative favored the Jets over the Bills. Despite the Jets’ decade of irrelevance, Rodgers, who was 40 and recovering from Achilles surgery, was seen as the savior who would lead them to glory, much like Joe Namath did in Super Bowl III.

Meanwhile, the Bills were overlooked, with many doubting their chances after losing some key players. But, as it turns out, that perspective hasn’t aged well. The Bills, with nine wins before Week 13, are fighting for the top AFC seed.

The Jets, however, have only three wins and continue to look helpless. It’s increasingly likely that Rodgers won’t be with the Jets in 2025, and the team will need to reset once again. But don’t worry—apparently, they’re just a quarterback away! (sarcasm intended).
