The 2024 NFL season is no exception to the Cleveland Browns’ previous bad luck, as the team stands at 2-7 during their Week 10 bye and facing yet another lost season and a missed chance to contend for a Super Bowl.

With Deshaun Watson, the Browns had a rough start to the season, and after the offensive line sustained many injuries, things only got worse.

After tearing his Achilles, Watson is expected to miss the rest of the regular season and maybe the start of the 2025 NFL season, proving that he is not immune to the injury bug.

Across the league, former Browns players have achieved success and are vying for postseason spots.

Baker Mayfield and Kareem Hunt are two notable figures who are currently enjoying successful seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, respectively.

Josh Cribbs criticized the team for letting Mayfield and Hunt leave via The Return With Josh & Maria Cribbs after they had their moments in Cleveland.

“I believe that everyone in the room was opposed to Kareem Hunt’s release,” Cribbs stated. “Is it wrong for me to be happy for these guys? I was happy for Baker Mayfield, and I’m happy for him.”

Hunt never had an opportunity to thrive playing behind Nick Chubb, and Mayfield appeared out of his depth during his time with the Browns.

While Cleveland will have to face the fact that they might eventually need to make roster changes, both players have found new lives with their present teams.
