A source with knowledge of the move told The Associated Press that cornerback Tre’Davious White was transferred from the Los Angeles Rams to the Baltimore Ravens.
Since the agreement was still being finalized, the source asked to remain anonymous on Tuesday. The Rams send a seventh-round pick in 2027 to the Ravens in exchange for a seventh-round pick in 2026.
Despite being selected to the Pro Bowl twice, White’s tenure with the Rams was unsatisfactory. After seven seasons with the Buffalo Bills, he signed a one-year, $4.25 million contract with Los Angeles.
Coach Sean McVay benched White for the next four games in September after he performed poorly in four of the Rams’ games.
When Darious Williams, another new cornerback, came back from injured reserve, this change was made. On the Rams’ depth chart, White trailed a number of other cornerbacks, notably Josh Wallace, an undrafted rookie, veteran Ahkello Witherspoon, and starter Cobie Durant.
White hasn’t played for the Rams (4-4) since September 29. In addition to complimenting White’s professionalism, McVay said the Rams did not anticipate using him as frequently as they did during the first month of the season.
White suffered an Achilles tear last season and a knee ligament tear in late 2021 while playing with the Bills, limiting him to just 25 games over the past four years.
Now, he’ll have the chance to support the Ravens’ defense, currently ranked as the NFL’s worst in pass defense.
Bold predictions for the Week 10 Thursday Night Football matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals
The biggest game of the season for the Baltimore Ravens is in Week 10. On Thursday night, the Cincinnati Bengals will visit the city for a crucial AFC North game. Lamar Jackson will play, which is crucial for Baltimore going forward, despite missing practice once more on Tuesday. We’ll be releasing our bold Ravens Week 10 predictions prior to their game against the Bengals.
In Week 9, the Ravens were playing at their best after a slow start against the Browns in Week 8. With three touchdowns from Jackson and two more from Derrick Henry, they dominated the Broncos 41–10. This season, the running game is the best in the league, and the passing game has really taken off. Earlier in the season, they outplayed a weak Bengals defense, but they were unable to stop them.
The Ravens must restrict Joe Burrow, another MVP contender, in order to defeat the Bengals. Despite failing to accomplish that in Week 5, they managed to win. What will take place this time? See our audacious Ravens predictions to find out.
Lamar Jackson is expected to contribute 300 yards.
Even after a stellar MVP season, Lamar Jackson had to silence his skeptics. The Ravens’ offense and postseason ability were questioned after yet another playoff loss. Derrick Henry was added by the front office in response, and Jackson has benefited. He has been able to enhance the passing game by having a running back that defenses fear. Throughout the season, he has also been running the ball effectively. A 300-yard performance against the Bengals on Thursday will be the culmination of that.
In the first game against the Bengals, Jackson passed for 348 yards and added 55 more on the run. Despite the defense scarcely stopped Cincy in the second half, he guided the club to victory. This is a number that Jackson can get, even with minimal practice time and brief breaks. His spectacular numbers have made him the top fantasy football quarterback this season, and Thursday will be no different.
Jackson would have reached 300 total yards for the sixth straight game if he did. Only once this season have the Bengals given up 300 passing yards, and it was against Jackson in Week 5. The Ravens have a definite edge against Lou Anarumo’s defense after many games, and they ought to use it in a crucial game.
Derrick Henry scores two more touchdowns.
Derrick Henry is the reason the Ravens are a different beast this season. Reversing the clock, the future Hall of Famer now leads the league in both yards and touchdowns. Jackson has always allowed the Ravens to run the ball effectively, but it has been a long time since they had a running back of this caliber. By smashing in for two more scores against the Bengals, he will increase his league lead.
With only good things to say about their time together, Henry and the Ravens head into Week 10. As the weather becomes cooler, he continues to dominate on the ground and has adapted well to the team. That will be crucial going ahead since January has historically caused Baltimore a lot of issues.
It will be difficult to defeat the Ravens with Henry hammering the rock in the red zone and Jackson leading the team up and down the field. The Raiders dominated their defense, while the Browns benefited from two dropped picks. The Bengals could accomplish it, but their defense isn’t strong enough to stop Jackson and Henry.
The Ravens sweep the Bengals with another victory.
On Thursday night, the Ravens will win in primetime once more. Although they are a good squad, the Bengals have made too much of a mess for them to overcome this season. The Ravens managed to turn the ship around before it was too late, although suffering some grisly losses. They can put their opponents in serious trouble and shift all of their focus to the Steelers if they win on Thursday night.
There are still unanswered problems for the Ravens, particularly regarding defense. They have had a difficult season without Mike Macdonald, and they need to turn things around before January. On Thursday, Baltimore should achieve just that and start down the path to a fantastic season.
