Fox’s ‘Big Noon Kickoff’ will be on-site for the pivotal Big Ten matchup between the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes and the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday, as the Buckeyes look to recover from their recent defeat to Oregon.

Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer was given a particularly warm ovation as the panel, which included Rob Stone, Brady Quinn, Mark Ingram, Matt Leinart, and Urban Meyer, was introduced. The Buckeyes’ supporters gave Meyer, who is regarded as one of the best coaches in the program’s history, a standing ovation.

Every time Coach Meyer is in town, the atmosphere in Columbus is electrifying, and people definitely get revved up.

“HE IS BAAAAAACCCK.” It said in the caption.

Meyer has a wealth of knowledge about college football. Along with his work on “Big Noon Kickoff,” he co-hosts the “Triple Option” podcast with Rob Stone and Mark Ingram, a former Alabama standout.

Meyer has three National Championships under his coaching hat and holds the third-highest winning percentage (.853) in college football history. In addition, he won five conference titles and was instrumental in luring Tim Tebow to the Florida Gators during his tenure as head coach.

Meyer has coached at Bowling Green, Utah, Florida, and Ohio State. He also briefly played for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL. His reputation as a collegiate coach is well-established, and his outstanding accomplishments in four distinct programs will make him one of the greatest of all time.

Huskers vs. Ohio State without Tommi Hill and three other players.

The Big Red’s Saturday mission has become somewhat more difficult. The team’s availability report states that Nebraska will play No. 4 Ohio State without star cornerback Tommi Hill. Alongside him, the Huskers will be without kicker Tristan Alvano, running back Rahmir Johnson, and tackle Turner Corcoran on Saturday.

Aaron Scott Jr., Lathan Ransom, Reis Stocksdale, and Will Kacmarek are all out for the season for Ohio State, along with Josh Simmons and TC Caffey. Both Alvano and Corcoran have missed the last few weeks, while Huskers head coach Matt Rhule announced Thursday that Johnson would be sidelined due to a head injury he sustained against Indiana. But it’s a little unexpected that Hill is not there.

Three-and-out: Quick takes ahead of Nebraska vs. Ohio State

Hill missed Nebraska’s next two games due to a plantar fascia injury sustained against Illinois in Week 4, but he made a comeback last Saturday against Indiana. His plantar fascia issue appeared to be improving, though it’s unclear if he sustained a new injury or is out for some other reason.

The Huskers will still play the Buckeyes without him, though. Though it would have been advantageous for Nebraska to have both Hill and Ceyair Wright against a potent Ohio State offense, Wright has performed admirably in Hill’s absence.
