In the 2025 recruiting class, Kirby Smart and Georgia football are targeting another gifted quarterback.
Although the Bulldogs have the third-best recruiting class in the nation right now, Smart and his staff are still hoping to add a lot of players to try and finish first for the second consecutive year. Five-star Justus Young, the seventh-ranked player in the nation, is one prospect we know Georgia is pursuing hard. However, a fresh recruit who is a top quarterback in the recruiting class is the target of the Georgia staff.

Four-star quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele reportedly accepted an offer from Georgia a few days ago. Sagapolutele’s strong interest in Georgia was then swiftly published, and it seems that both parties share this enthusiasm, since he will be visiting Georgia on November 16 for an official visit for the Tennessee game.
There are several reasons why this development is startling. First, it wasn’t until earlier this week that we learned about Sagapolutele. He is therefore a fresh recruiting target for Georgia supporters.
It’s interesting that Sagapolutele’s recruitment is gaining so much traction at this late stage of the cycle, even though the staff has probably been in contact with him for much longer.
What will Ryan Montgomery think?
The most unexpected aspect, though, is that Georgia already has a highly skilled quarterback committed to their 2025 class. Although Ryan Montgomery has been enrolled since April, it appears like Smart and his staff need more than one quarterback. It’s unexpected in and of itself because you rarely see more than one quarterback in a recruiting class, but it seems like Georgia wants to do that this year.
After his visit next month, it’s unlikely that we’ll hear much more about Sagapolutele’s recruiting. However, Montgomery is the prospect we should be watching the most at the moment to see how he feels about Georgia pursuing another quarterback. I hope he doesn’t mind since he might start searching elsewhere if he does.

In order to halt the run and enable him to throw deep, Kirby will sell out. He won’t have time to throw since he will employ blitzes to get home. DJ will need to succeed in the short to middle game, and I’m not sure if his game is there yet.
