Dion Dawkins hasn’t held back when it comes to his opinions of the New York Jets.

This offseason, the left tackle for the Buffalo Bills expressed his deep dislike for the Jets organization.

“I detest them.” “Everyone of them, dude,” Dawkins remarked in a VladTV interview. “You know, when it comes to sports, some people play them because they love them, and some people just do them to try and look cool. They seem to play the sport in an attempt to appear cool. Those guys are merely interested in taking photos for Instagram, that’s all. That is absurd.

It should come as no surprise that Dawkins made fun of the Jets after they fired head coach Robert Saleh on Tuesday, given his sentiments regarding the franchise. Dawkins posted a quick comment on X, the former Twitter.

Even though Dawkins had the opportunity to write, “I told you so,” he made his argument less than two hours after Saleh was cut by the Jets.

After dropping a close game against the Minnesota Vikings in London, New York is now 3–2. All season long, Saleh’s defense has played a strong role, but through five games, the offense, which is led by Aaron Rodgers and Nathaniel Hackett, has fallen short of expectations.

According to the most recent rumors about the Jets, Saleh considered removing Hackett from his position prior to Jets owner Woody Johnson’s decision to part ways with the head coach. After firing Saleh, New York hired defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich as their acting head coach.

Draft Pick Haul for Davante Adams in Blockbuster Bills Trade Proposal

After dealing away Stefon Diggs in the offseason, the Buffalo Bills entered the 2024 season without a legitimate No. 1 receiver, but a source thinks that could soon change.

After both Diggs and No. 2 Gabe Davis left this offseason, ESPN’s Ben Solak hatched a “dream” trade that would bring All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams to Buffalo, helping to fill the loss. After getting off to a 3-0 start, the Bills’ offense has faltered, and during the course of their previous two losses, the passing game has occasionally struggled.

Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders is reportedly being pursued by the Bills, and Solak thinks the Raiders may trade two high draft picks for Adams.

A Combination of Bills for Davante Adams

The Bills are reportedly among the clubs vying for Adams’ services after he asked the Raiders for a trade last week. The Bills are one of a few clubs closely monitoring the situation, according to NFL Network source Ian Rapoport’s report on October 6. However, they are by no means the front-runners.

“Adams’ top pick for a landing location is reportedly the New York Jets and his old friend Aaron Rodgers, according to insiders. He wants to play there, according to Rapoport. “However, the New Orleans Saints have been the most assertive, with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills keeping a close eye on the situation and communicating with one another.” Additionally, the Jets are still very much in the running.

Blockbuster Bills Trade Proposal Lands Davante Adams

The Bills won’t likely act until “if and when the Raiders are willing to swallow some of Adams’ money in return for better draft capital,” according to Solak. However, he hinted that the Bills would be prepared to pay more than the rumored asking price of a second-round pick if the Raiders were prepared to sweeten the deal.

He projected that the Bills would receive Adams and a 2025 sixth-round pick in return for a 2026 third-round selection and a 2025 second-round selection.

“Perfect” Davante Adams for the Bills

Adams may be a nice addition for a Bills team that needs consistency from its wide receiving corps, even though he would come at a high cost, according to Solak.

He stated, “Adams is the ideal receiver for Buffalo, if and when we get there.” The current outsider splitting snaps is a motley crew, but Khalil Shakir is the established slot. Although Mack Hollins and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are not suitable choices for the high-volume passing strategy that the Bills have had to use for the past two weeks, rookie Keon Coleman has been showing flashes. With a fresh start, Adams offers many of the qualities that Stefon Diggs provided, including steady hands, downfield route running, and dependable separation versus top corners.
