It was thought that Jeremy Swayman would wish to remain with the Boston Bruins, and the most unlikely of sources validated that perception.

Swayman’s touching remarks from an upcoming episode of the docuseries “FACEOFF: Inside the NHL,” which will be pre-released on Thursday and made public on Friday, October 4, on Amazon Prime, reveal how much the Bruins mean to him.

Speaking with the Amazon team for the series, the restricted free agent emphasized his hope to stay in Boston permanently, even though contract negotiations between Boston and the player were still at an impasse.

Episode 3 of the show included Swayman saying, “I don’t want it to end,” according to ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski. “I might not be wearing a Bruins jersey after this. I’m sure I’ll do every effort to remain a Bruin for a very long time.”

See more at: It makes sense that Swayman believes Boston is the only team he wants to continue playing hockey for, considering his Alaskan upbringing and the difficult road he had to go to reach the top of the sport while protecting the Bruins’ net.

“As a kid growing up in Alaska, this was in my wildest (expletive) dreams,” said Swayman. “I hope it never ends. I’m incredibly appreciative that tomorrow will bring another chance for improvement and that the sun will rise.

“Anything I can do to support this team’s victory. I’m confident that everything else will work itself out. Since becoming public at the beginning of October, tensions between Swayman’s team and the Bruins are at an all-time high.

The 24-year-old goalie and the Bruins had been in negotiations for several months. The goalie’s agent swiftly denied the Bruins’ $64 million offer, which team president Cam Neely made public.

After the goaltender was given a one-year, $3.75 million contract during a salary arbitration hearing last year, the relationship between Swayman and the team initially encountered difficulties. Swayman acknowledged on the Amazon show that he found the arbitration process to be difficult.

Swayman stated, “You don’t say a word when you go into that room.” “First to speak, my arbiter made all of these wonderful remarks. The arbitrator’s duties include supporting the management side and taking advantage of the players. It was difficult to hear that you are not deserving of what you feel you deserve. You remember everything that was stated.”

Swayman’s future with the Bruins is still up in the air right now, but one thing is certain: he won’t be able to play for the rest of the season if he doesn’t sign by December 1.

Fans are growing increasingly anxious as Jeremy Swayman and the Boston Bruins are unable to come to an agreement on the conditions of a new deal.

Swayman acknowledged yesterday in the new Amazon Prime series “Faceoff” that he thought the Bruins didn’t appreciate him during the 2023 arbitration. He took offense at their claim that he couldn’t succeed in the postseason.

Jeremy Swayman's Agent Denies Bruins Offered Goalie $64 Million

Swayman is being told to shut up and move on by Bruins Network, a website devoted to covering the Boston Bruins. The team likes what they see in Swayman, which is why they gave away a Vezina goalkeeper. That ought to be sufficient validation for you to feel appreciated.

It’s time to move forward from my desire for Swayman to sign an eight-year contract. Swayman and his agent filed for arbitration; Boston didn’t even do that. He brings up arbitration as if he’s the only player who has ever experienced it, despite the fact that it stinks and was mentioned in the spring.I’m not attempting to demonize Swayman, FYI. Is this the third or fourth time he’s brought up how his feelings were wounded and his ego bruised? Boston surrendered a Vezina-winning goalkeeper in exchange for a one-year contract (instead of two), which got you back at the table sooner. They have faith in you.

What transpires here can only become clear with time, but right now things don’t seem good. It only serves to highlight the numerous shortcomings that now exist between Swayman and the Bruins.
