Jimmy Butler was the fault, Derrick Rose.

With a strong core of players in Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, and Joakim Noah, as well as a seasoned center in Pau Gasol who had won championships, the 2015–16 Chicago Bulls looked ready for success. Despite having great hopes, the squad actually fared far worse than expected, missing the playoffs and not even being able to compete for a championship. Although the squad’s inability to reach its maximum potential was largely due to injuries, Rose was especially irritated by the internal strife on the team, especially with Butler preventing the group from playing as a cohesive unit.

Derrick Rose found Jimmy Butler’s actions incomprehensible.

D-Rose was never the same player after his 2012 injury. To make matters worse, the 6’3″ point guard required surgery after suffering an orbital fracture before the 2015–16 season. Rose had visual problems during the first part of the campaign and was not able to perform at his best even though he was wearing a protective mask. As the Bulls strived for consistency in the Eastern Conference, reports constantly appeared regarding feuds involving Rose, Butler, and Noah.

D-Rose delves deeper into Butler’s pranks in his book “I’ll Show You,” which prevented the squad from having a strong sense of brotherhood.

“But there was a lot of strange stuff going on. Jimmy didn’t dress with us, and I wasn’t sure what that had to do with it. He didn’t stay in the locker room that season and was always getting dressed with the coaches, Rose noted.”Got to say, I never did see that before. to distance oneself from the group. Given that, how in the heck do you believe we’re a team? Naturally, I was placed at fault. Jo noticed that Jimmy and he were having fun. Many people were fracturing.”

Butler thought the Bulls were never in agreement.

The Bulls were among the bottom eight offensive teams in the NBA that season, despite having three players who scored more than 16 points per game on average. Even Jimmy Buckets admitted that there was a lack of cohesiveness among the players, with each one appearing more concerned with improving their own game than the group as a whole.

“I don’t believe that guys had varying ideas about what it takes to prevail. To be honest, I don’t think everyone was in agreement about the roles that the men would play,” Butler remarked.Telling the truth was what it ultimately came down to. When you consider how talented each person was, I believe that everyone wanted to perform to the best of their abilities on any given night.”

It is evident why the Bulls did not make the playoffs after Rose and Butler’s admissions. This result was unavoidable because the two main players on the squad were functioning on separate frequencies and were reluctant to work things out. In the summer of 2016, Rose and Noah were eventually moved to the New York Knicks.
