Coach Dan Quinn of the Washington Commanders recently shared his opinions about running back Brian Robinson Jr. and potential uses going forward.

Brian Robinson Jr., a running back with the Washington Commanders, had an outstanding performance on Sunday against the New York Giants. Throughout the day, the former Alabama running back gained 133 yards from 17 carries of the ball.

Robinson thanked his coaches after the game for allowing him to contribute significantly to the rushing game.

Dan Quinn, the Commanders’ coach, discussed Robinson with the media during his routine appearances.

Coach Quinn mentioned, “I’m confident that some of his resilience and toughness came from having to wait behind other players at Alabama.” He added, “So when you’re coaching against him or planning to tackle him, you have to focus on his legs because of how tough he is, especially after seeing him power through tackles.”

That is really significant. Because of his stature and power, the tackle wasn’t always the same with him. Thus, when the seldom competitor approaches someone one-on-one and assesses them, you had better have a solid tackling strategy in place or he might damage your reputation.”

When practices and training camp began, Quinn was asked whether there was anything about Robinson that shocked him.

“I didn’t know his hands were as good as they are,” stated Quinn. “In fact, one of the things that has really struck me is that I am coaching against him. I simply realized that this guy was an uncommon competitor.

“I wasn’t aware that he could run, catch, and take part in outdoor activities so easily.”

This Monday, the Commanders host the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football. They must run the ball well in order to keep quarterback Joe Burrow off the field. Robinson’s carries could hopefully rise even further. The game is set to begin at 8:20 p.m. ET.

Who will call the plays for today’s Bengals vs. Commanders game?

In their Monday Night Football matchup against the Washington Commanders, the Cincinnati Bengals will try to recover from their terrible Week 2 defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs. There are two NFL games scheduled for tonight; the Buffalo Bills will play the Jacksonville Jaguars in addition to Cincinnati and Washington.

The Commanders are coming off a division victory against the New York Giants, and they’ll be aiming to build on that momentum while the Bengals are coming off a loss to the Chiefs. Even this early in the season, both teams have a lot riding on this matchup. Ultimately, every victory matters. The two teams will play each other in the regular season for the first time since 2020.
