According to ABC6 Providence, former New England Patriots fullback Patrick Pass was just taken into custody for allegedly assaulting an elderly man at a Planet Fitness in Providence, Rhode Island.
According to police, after a fight over a piece of exercise equipment, 46-year-old Pass and an 82-year-old man allegedly shoved each other to the ground, with Pass inflicting back injuries. According to reports, the event happened on August 28.
Pass was accused of assaulting a guy over 60 and causing physical harm, according to ABC6 Providence.
In the 2000 NFL Draft, Pass was chosen by the Patriots just one round behind QB legend Tom Brady. During the early half of New England’s dynasty, Pass won three Super Bowl titles while playing seven seasons for the Patriots from 2000 to 2007.
The Massachusetts Pirates are an Indoor Football League team located in the Bay State, and Pass is described as their director of football personnel development. In July of 2023, Pass was suspended indefinitely from his position as coach of the Pirates after he and three players got into a brawl in the stands, according to The Boston Globe.
This year’s first arrests in Rhode Island for a Patriots Super Bowl champion are not Pass. The Super Bowl XLIX hero, Malcolm Butler, was arrested in March for driving while intoxicated.
Forecasts for the New York Jets vs. New England Patriots home opener
The New York Jets are ready for a brief vacation. But first, they have to play the New England Patriots to wrap up their difficult opening to the season.
The Jets’ final game in an 11-day swing begins on Thursday night at 8:15 p.m. eastern at MetLife Stadium. The team began the season on Monday Night Football against San Francisco.
Then, in order to get ready for a road trip to Tennessee on Sunday, New York went back home for a brief week of practice.
The Jets returned home for an even shorter week of preparation for their home opener after that run.
The Jets (1-1) will have ten days off before their next game following their encounter on Thursday.
However, there’s another reason this competition is noteworthy. Since the 1995 season, this will be the first New York vs. New England (1-1) game in which Bill Belichick is not involved in some way. Belichick was the head coach of the Cleveland Browns on December 10, 1995.
He was fired that offseason and went on to work for the Patriots, when he was employed by head coach Bill Parcells. He went with Parcells to the Jets the next season. Then, for around five minutes in 2000, he led New York as head coach until he left for New England.
After the 2018 season, Belichick and the Patriots parted ways, and Jerod Mayo took over as head coach.

C.J. Mosley, a linebacker, is unlikely to participate. Cornerbacks Michael Carter II and D.J. Reed should, in my opinion, play a rotational role. But in order to win this game, New York needs two things. The front four must slow down the run first. The Patriots have a strong commitment to being a run-first squad. Get New England airborne.
Secondly, maintain multiple offenses. The choice of plays made versus Tennessee was excellent in keeping the Titans off-balance. Fans in New York demand a quicker start. Nevertheless, how you end matters. Rodgers isn’t quite ready to take off, in my opinion. That will happen soon. He will, however, provide enough to keep the Jets winning.

A suddenly thin defense will have an opportunity to perform in a defensive struggle because of the injuries to the Patriots’ offensive line. Breece Hall, a running back for the Jets, will lead the way with over 120 total yards and two touchdowns.

The New York Jets’ arduous preseason road schedule comes to an end on Thursday Night Football, meaning they’ll have yet another short week. Although the Jets performed considerably better in Week 2, New York never has an easy time playing the New England Patriots. But with Rodgers leading the Jets to a 2-1 victory in their home opening, this is a new era.
