Fourteen former Chicago Bears players are among the precisely 167 players from the modern period who have been nominated for the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2025.
In addition to Jared Allen, Clyde Simmons, Ted Washington, Brendon Ayanbadejo, Lance Briggs, and Charles Tillman on defense, these players include Doug Flutie, Thomas Jones, Glyn Milburn, Brandon Marshall, Muhsin Muhammad, Ruben Brown, Olin Kreutz, and Josh Sitton on offense.

A committee will shorten the list to 50 candidates (including any ties for the 50th position) in the following round of the selection process. In the middle of October, the outcomes of that reduction will be made public.
Later this fall, the 50-person Hall of Fame Selection Committee will further narrow the list to 25 Semifinalists. The list of 15 contenders who will be considered at the annual meeting before to Super Bowl LVIX will be determined by another vote. The next class will be determined by that vote, and according to the Hall of Fame’s statutes, it may include three, four, or five players from the contemporary period.
To be considered for the 2025 class, finalists must receive at least 80% of the selection committee’s vote. During the annual selection meeting, the modern-era finalists will be reduced from fifteen to ten, and ultimately to seven. Members of the committee will next select five of the seven finalists by voting.
It is said that the Chicago Bears are upset with their own offensive line.
With Caleb Williams, a bill of goods was sold to us. The franchise quarterback for the Chicago Bears, who is considered a generational talent, has not impressed in the first two games.
Chicago’s offense sits dead last in passing yards through two games, despite the Bears’ defense and special teams doing enough to help the No. 1 overall choice win in his starting debut. Put another way, the offensive line is now bearing the majority of the burden since Williams hasn’t improved the Bears’ offense.
The Chicago Bears are becoming increasingly irritated with their offensive line.
“Training camp has been a complete failure since it began. For the past two years, Nate Davis has been a major local story, even though he is probably not a big national story. He is not fond of practicing. The Bears find it frustrating that he isn’t working out. And I believe Ryan Bates was slated to take over as the starting right guard, but Bates was injured. In fact, Ryan Bates outperformed Nate Davis in the first game in a rotation last week. However, he had another injury during practice this week, and he is currently on injured reserve. Nate Davis is therefore visible by default. Even though I don’t think they want to play him, they have no one else to put in. Though it’s arguably the least exciting topic to discuss in football, the Bears’ biggest issue at the moment is the inside of the offensive line.
Although we are unable to comment on Nate Davis’s practice habits, it is true that he has been an issue. According to Pro Football Focus, Davis is ranked 49th among offensive linemen going into Week 3.
During 88 offensive snaps, he has given up one sack and two penalties. He’s permitted five pressures as well. Davis might be more ready to perform well in the games if he spent more time on the practice field.
