The surname “Sharapova” is not limited to tennis; it is a mark of excellence, notoriety, and aura, naturally. Having won 51 WTA titles and held the top spot in the world rankings, she served as an inspiration for many young girls to pick up tennis. As she builds on her illustrious career, that legacy is now being realized. The Russian won the fan vote in her first year on the International Tennis Hall of Fame ballot, which is undoubtedly evidence of the long-lasting influence she has had on the game.
