Mike Garafolo reports that the Browns are adding LB Khaleke Hudson from the Saints practice squad to their active roster.

Hudson, 26, is a former Michigan native who was selected by the Commanders in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. As one of Washington’s last preseason roster cuts, he was re-signed to the practice squad and was about to enter the third year of a four-year, $3.6 million rookie contract.

He re-signed with Washington for a one-year contract over the summer, and he also inked a one-year contract with the Saints for 2024. But after the preseason, New Orleans cut him and re-signed him to the practice squad.

Tropical Storm Francine has not prompted the New Orleans Saints to evacuate, head coach Dennis Allen stated on his coaches show on WWL-AM radio on Monday night.

According to team officials, those plans remained the same on Tuesday morning.

Allen stated that team officials will keep an eye on the storm’s advancement on Tuesday and will decide in the afternoon. He announced that he will brief the Saints players on plans during a Zoom meeting on Tuesday afternoon.

The Saints’ players get Tuesday off. The squad will warm up for their Sunday game against the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, Texas, by practicing at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

Currently, Allen stated, “the plan is to be able to get practices in here at the (indoor training) facility.”

In order to give players, coaches, and staff time to stay with their families, Allen stated that the club may change its practice plan for Wednesday and Thursday. However, at this time, it is merely a hypothetical scenario.

Allen remarked, “Let’s see what the updates are like (Tuesday) morning.” “I want to discuss what we need to do with the team on a Zoom call later this afternoon on Tuesday.

“This doesn’t seem like something that will require an evacuation. In terms of the main component of the weather, it sounds like it will last roughly 24 hours. Wednesday and Thursday look like we might have to reassess our program.
