Stephen Curry’s story and the Golden State Warriors’ joyful finale were always intended to end happily. However, recent occurllaà it possible that the best basketball shooter ever might don a Miami Heat jersey in the future? This summer, Klay Thompson departed the Warriors.
A few years ago, that would have been unimaginable, but since sustaining those two serious injuries, he simply does not appear like the same player.
With Thompson’s departure, the Warriors lost their legendary trio of Curry, Draymond Green, and Thompson, who together won four championships. Although it was disappointing to see Thompson depart from the Warriors, it was easy to see why it was the right choice for all sides.
However, the fans expect someone who can strengthen the squad as a whole and assist them return to contention to be brought in when a legend like him departs.
The Warriors don’t appear to be championship contenders and failed to do that this summer. Although a trade package could not be agreed upon, they were thought to be interested in Paul George. All of this has now given rise to conjecture regarding Curry’s future with the team.
Marissa Myers suggested a trade in a TWSN piece that would send Curry to the Heat in exchange for Tyler Herro, Nikola Jovic, a 2025 first-round pick, and a 2027 first-round pick for the Warriors.
Naturally, one would assume that the Warriors would exert every effort to retain Curry. In addition to earning an Olympic gold medal with Team USA, he continues to play at an MVP caliber.
Curry’s departure would hurt the Warriors both on the court and in terms of their standing internationally. Ideally, Curry will leave the Warriors and retire. a legend from a single franchise, similar to Magic Johnson, Tim Duncan, Larry Bird, Dirk Nowitzki, and Kobe Bryant. But in basketball, you never say never.
