Today, Rylon Dillard-Allen of Mountain Pointe HS in Arizona committed to the University of Washington through his Instagram Live, enticing the Huskies to sign one of their top safety targets. Dillard-Allen is ranked by 247sports as the 36th best safety in the nation and among the best on the West Coast. He had offers from USC, Texas A&M, Oregon, UCLA, and Alabama.

Under the direction of safeties coach Vinnie Sunseri, the Huskies have been actively pursuing Dillard-Allen and hosted him for an official visit in June.

Standing at 5’11” and weighing about 165 pounds, the Huskies plan to use him as a safety who can also play nickel if necessary. Watching Dillard-Allen’s footage, you can see how much space he can cover on the football field—as a sophomore, he ran a 10.86 100. He recorded 40 tackles, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles in just five games during the previous campaign.

Dillard-Allen is the first real safety in the class and the 24th pledge overall. The Huskies are still looking for a safety, and they would really like to combine four-star Ladarian Clardy with four-star Dillard-Allen. Clardy is anticipated to make his decision in eight days. What part does Bill Belichick play for the Washington Huskies? He informed Pat McAfee.

Due to the last names of Carroll, Belichick, and del Rio being on Jedd Fisch’s staff, UW Huskies practices have evolved into the legendary football coaching community’s gathering place.

Pete Carroll, the former coach of the Seahawks, has been involved with the program; his son Brennan is the new offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the Huskies. Luke, the son of renowned former defensive coordinator and head coach of the NFL’s Jaguars and Raiders Jack Del Rio, is employed by Washington in an offensive quality control capacity.

Finally, as the first football season since he parted company with the New England Patriots approaches, Bill Belichick, who is widely regarded as the best coach in NFL history, appears to be the most noticeable presence during UW practices. The Huskies’ defensive coordinator, Steve, is his son, and it obviously helps to having his six-time Super Bowl champion father on staff.

But how is the senior Belichick assisting the Huskies? When that issue was posed to him on ESPN’s Pat McAfee Show on Monday, he at last provided some clarity on a topic that has been hotly debated throughout the Pacific Northwest.

William Belichick remarked, “I’m just here to watch, and sometimes they ask me to look at something or what I think about this or that or whatever.” It’s really been wonderful.

Belichick claimed he’s not leading anything at practice (“Jedd’s got the whistle”), and it seems he’s relishing the opportunity to be in the vicinity of a program without having to exercise leadership.

He remarked, “It’s nice to just come back and watch some action in the field.” Being around Steve and Jedd is enjoyable because they work so hard at this program, and it’s interesting to observe what goes on, attend meetings, and watch the athletes at work. Jedd does an excellent job with this program, and he has a fantastic crew. I’m looking forward to watching them throughout the year.

Belichick is also relishing the nice late-summer weather on the UW campus in Seattle with the Huskies.

He remarked, “This is a nice location, nice surroundings, you can practice right on the lake, and the weather is great.” “The weather for this training camp is fantastic—70 to 80 degrees. The players are working hard, the facilities are wonderful, and the weather is pleasant.

McAfee is now sold on the Huskies after speaking with Belichick about a squad that, only eight months after competing for the national championship, didn’t make the AP’s preseason top 25.

McAfee joked, “I’m betting the over on Washington.”
