Celtic gave their fans more to celebrate on Flag Day after they sent Derek McInnes’ Kilmarnock back to Ayrshire with a 4-0 beating that did not flatter the champions.

To be honest, the score could have been much higher after Celtic’s opportunities were turned away, Kyogo’s goal was disallowed for offside, and McInnes was spared more humiliation by the woodwork as Brendan Rodgers’ team dominated the first day of play.

The entire Celtic team gave a fantastic performance, but in the Flag Day victory over Killie, former Hoops striker Chris Sutton singled out three individuals he thought were “wonderful.”

Chris Sutton reinforces Celtic transfer message after win vs Kilmarnock

While providing commentary for Sky Sports during Celtic’s victory at Parkhead, Sutton sent a transfer request to his former team and praised three players for their efforts.

According to Sutton, Celtic looked the part, and if Brendan Rodgers can find the players he needs, it will be difficult to prevent his team from winning a record-tying four titles in a row.

The Norwich City striker would undoubtedly give the Celtic assault, which did appear to be quite dangerous this afternoon, a new dimension, especially since the Adam Idah problem is still unresolved.

Despite the addition of three new players this summer, Rodgers is aware that his Celtic club needs more players at various places to help with competition and cover.

With Paulo Bernardo now a permanent member of the team, the Celtics manager still has plenty of time to add new players to his roster. It seems like Rodgers’ squad will be hard to stop this season with two or three more bodies added to what he now has.
