There’s no secret. Khris Middleton, an All-Star forward, has lost some time due to injury. If he accomplishes this again next season, the Milwaukee Bucks may have to start someone else to keep the team competitive.
Middleton had a difficult season last year owing to ongoing health difficulties, which culminated in two ankle operations during the offseason. The treatments were deemed required because he hurt his ankle some months prior, which had a substantial influence on his performance.
Following the surgeries, which included arthroscopic clean-up procedures on both ankles, Middleton has resumed light court activity in preparation for the 2024-2025 NBA season. His recuperation progress has been promising, and he is expected to be fully recovered by the start of the season.
Despite setbacks from his injuries, the Bucks star showed tenacity and determination during the previous season, demonstrating his skills and leadership on the court. His critical role in the team’s success, particularly during the playoffs, highlighted his value to the Bucks.
Middleton’s ability to overcome physical hurdles and achieve outstanding results demonstrates his dedication to the sport and his teammates. As he prepares for the new season, supporters eagerly await his return to the court, expecting to see his continued impact on the game.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Khris Middleton’s Backup Plan at Small Forward Revealed
While Middleton may miss time owing to the hard and demanding schedule of an NBA season, as well as the injuries that accompany it, Milwaukee is expected to have a backup plan in place. According to a Forbes story by Brian Sampson, former Los Angeles Lakers wing Taurean Prince is expected to take over as the starting small forward if Middleton is absent.
“Middleton’s job will be determined by his availability following offseason ankle surgery. He was outstanding in the postseason and still has enough left in the tank to make this happen. He is also selfless, willingly taking a backseat to Antetokounmpo and Lillard. Assume he is out to begin the regular season (or misses any time during the season). In that circumstances, Prince is a perfect fit to take over this starting position,” Sampson wrote.
Throughout his eight-season NBA career, Prince has averaged 10.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. He’s also shot 42% from the field, 37% from deep, and 81% from the free throw line. Prince, who signed as a free agency during the offseason, will play his debut season for head coach Doc Rivers and the Bucks.
Although Middleton is still the best man for the job, Bucks supporters can be confident that a veteran like Prince will be available to start alongside Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo. With him in the starting lineup, Milwaukee can maintain some stability, particularly at the small forward position.
