Ohio State Football Received Good News Yesterday
Ohio State Football Received Good News Yesterday. When the Ohio State Buckeyes held their first spring practice on Monday, it was anticipated that they would start inviting high school prospects. For the team’s first spring session, however, four more four-star prospects showed up than anticipated.
On March 16, Mick Walker of On3 reported that linebacker Storm Miller, wide receiver Jalen Lott, offensive lineman Da’Ron Parks, and edge rusher Jake Kreul were all scheduled to practice on Monday. Four-star ratings have been given to each of the four prospects.
Lott and Kreul lead the quartet. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Kreul and Lott are both among the top 100 talents in the 2026 recruiting class.
Of the four players, Kreul is the most highly regarded prospect. In the 2026 class, the Florida recruit is ranked No. 37 overall and No. 5 among edge rushers.
Lott is regarded as an athlete in the 247Sports composite rankings. Lott was ranked 66th overall in the class and fourth among athletes.

Parks is ranked among the top 20 interior offensive linemen in the 2026 class by the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Parks is a top 50 Florida talent, just as Kreul.

Miller and Parks are both among the top 350 recruits in the class of 2026. Miller, a native of Strongsville, Ohio, is a No. 25 linebacker and a No. 17 Ohio prospect.
Monday marked the start of the Buckeyes’ spring workouts. Throughout the spring, Ohio State should have no shortage of elite recruits, as the program demonstrated on Monday.
Ohio State’s Jack Sawyer Receives First-Round Grade from Pro Football Focus Analyst
The Ohio State Buckeyes bounced back from two Big Ten regular-season losses to win four consecutive games in the College Football Playoff, ultimately securing the national championship with a victory over Notre Dame in the season finale.
Ohio State’s title run was fueled by standout performances from multiple players, including quarterback Will Howard and defensive end Jack Sawyer. Sawyer’s defining moment came when he delivered a crucial strip-sack against former Buckeye quarterback Quinn Ewers in a pivotal win over the Texas Longhorns, a game many considered the most important of the season outside of the championship matchup.

On Monday, despite speculation that he might fall to the second or third rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft, a Pro Football Focus analyst gave Sawyer a first-round evaluation. The analyst praised Sawyer’s strong fundamentals, calling him “one of the highest-floor players in this class” and emphasizing his reliability in all aspects of the game.
“He’s going to be a dominant force as a run defender, setting the edge in the run game,” the analyst said, adding that Sawyer’s high character and pass-rushing potential make him worthy of a first-round grade. Dismissing lower projections, the analyst asserted, “Third-round talk is way, way too low for him.”
Sawyer finished last season with 25 solo tackles, nine sacks, and three forced fumbles, proving to be a key piece of Ryan Day’s championship-winning defense.
