Diggs Sends a Six-word Message to Bills Mafia
Diggs Sends a Six-word Message to Bills Mafia. Stefon Diggs hinted at a potential interest in going back to Buffalo in a mysterious social media post aimed at the Bills Mafia and general manager Brandon Beane. As part of the Bills’ 2024 salary cap management, the standout receiver was traded to the Houston Texans. The Texans void the last three years of his deal, which left him an unrestricted free agent even though he had initially signed a four-year extension with Buffalo.
Diggs removed any Buffalo-related items from his social media accounts following his trade. But on Sunday night, there was a sudden influx of Bills pictures and memorabilia on his Instagram, which led to conjecture. Given that Amari Cooper is a free agency and unlikely to return, the Bills need a wide receiver three, and some fans started to speculate that Diggs would be a viable choice in addition to Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir.
His post received a range of responses. “Obviously, this could be nothing, and most likely is, BUT I’d absolutely welcome Diggs back with open arms,” said one enthusiastic fan. Some were more contemptuous; one only said, “No.” Another fan was adamantly against a reunion, accusing Diggs of being a “locker room cancer” and claiming that “Josh Allen won MVP and played better without him.”

Although Diggs’ social media activity has undoubtedly rekindled discussion, it is still unclear if a return to Buffalo is feasible.
Bills GM Brandon Beane Discusses Free Agency Moves, Josh Allen’s Contract, and Salary Cap Management
The Buffalo Bills were active in the first week of free agency, adding nine new players to their roster. General manager Brandon Beane addressed the media to discuss these changes, the team’s financial situation, and future plans.
Salary Cap and Roster Adjustments
Buffalo focused on strengthening its defense with key signings like Joey Bosa, Michael Hoecht, and Larry Ogunjobi, while also adding offensive weapons for Josh Allen, such as Joshua Palmer and Laviska Shenault.
Regarding cap space, Beane acknowledged that the team is working with limited flexibility, needing to reserve funds for draft picks and other roster moves.
“We’re running tight, and we’ve had to make adjustments,” Beane explained. “We’ve had to change where we’re shopping, but that doesn’t mean we’re done.”
The Bills are still looking to solidify their roster, particularly at cornerback. With Christian Benford as a starter, the team brought back Dane Jackson and has additional competition in Ja’Marcus Ingram, Te’Cory Couch, Daequan Hardy, and Cam Lewis. Beane emphasized that they will continue evaluating players for depth and competition across the roster.
Buffalo also made tough decisions, such as releasing Von Miller and trading cornerback Kaiir Elam to the Cowboys. Beane expressed appreciation for Miller’s leadership and left the door open for a possible return.

“We love Von and appreciate everything he brought here. We had to evaluate our salary situation, but I had a good conversation with him before his release. A return isn’t out of the question, whether now or later in the season,” he said.
On Elam, Beane admitted the move was emotional and took responsibility for the former first-round pick not working out in Buffalo.
“It’s on me. I made the selection, and it didn’t work out,” Beane said. “But I’m rooting for Kaiir. He worked hard, and I hope this reset benefits him.”
Joey Bosa’s Impact and Injury Concerns
The Bills’ biggest offseason acquisition so far is five-time Pro Bowl defensive end Joey Bosa, who signed a one-year deal.
“Joey is an incredible player, and we’ve seen his talent up close,” Beane said, recalling Bosa’s dominant performance against Buffalo in 2020, when he sacked Josh Allen three times.
While Bosa has been a productive pass rusher, injuries have been a concern, as he has missed games in each of the past three seasons. However, Beane is confident in the team’s ability to manage his workload.
“Yes, he’s had injuries, but if you watch him play, he plays with intensity and a reckless style,” Beane noted. “We’ll have a structured plan for him from the offseason through the season to keep him fresh and performing at a high level.”
As the Bills continue shaping their roster, Beane emphasized that the team is focused on building competition and depth before the upcoming NFL Draft.
