Yankees Manager Aaron Boone. Aaron Judge Shares Special Baseball Glove Honoring His Newborn Daughter

While Aaron Judge is best known for his powerful bat rather than his glove, the New York Yankees captain now has a glove that holds deep personal significance.

On February 27, Judge shared a heartwarming photo on his Instagram stories featuring a small pink leather baseball glove with purple seams—a tribute to his newborn daughter, Nora Rose. The glove is customized with the Yankees’ iconic interlocking “NY” logo in navy blue and her name embroidered in purple. Judge added a purple heart and rose emoji to the post, emphasizing the special moment.

The 32-year-old and his wife, Samantha, welcomed their first child on January 27. Judge, known for keeping his personal life private, had not publicly shared news of the pregnancy until a New Year’s Day social media post. A few days after Nora Rose’s birth, he posted a black-and-white Instagram story showing her tiny feet, marking the joyful occasion.

Reflecting on fatherhood upon arriving at Yankees spring training, Judge expressed how becoming a dad has given him extra motivation. “I’m getting older,” he said. “I don’t want to be the old man here in a couple of years, so I’ve got to stay on top of my game. She’s definitely going to motivate me, definitely keep me on my toes. And it’s going to be a fun couple of years, that’s for sure.”

Judge has certainly had to stay on his toes, as Yankees spring training has already been eventful. The team has dealt with Marcus Stroman voicing concerns about a potential bullpen role, Giancarlo Stanton revealing significant elbow injuries in both arms, and the Yankees making changes to their long-standing traditions—including modifying their beard policy and limiting Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” to postgame celebrations only after home victories.

As team captain, Judge has been the face of the franchise, addressing these developments while preparing for the upcoming season. Amid all the chaos, he’s also been able to embrace his new role as a proud father—something that, much like his powerful swing, is sure to leave a lasting impact.
