The Baggies player has recorded three assists in the last three games and three goals in his last two appearances.
Despite suffering an injury during the first half of the season, the playmaker has just made a comeback. Speculation over his future has coincided with his return to the side.
According to rumors, Diangana has declined a contract offer from Burnley, a team in the Championship, and his contract expires in the summer.
Clubs in Serie A and La Liga have also reportedly expressed interest in Diangana, who has six months left on his contract and may sign a pre-contract agreement with European teams.
Five years after arriving from West Ham for £18 million, just over half of the 1,000 Baggies supporters surveyed by Express & Star last week said they would be pleased to see Diangana go at the end of the current campaign.
When asked about Diangana’s contract status on Saturday, Baggies manager Tony Mowbray stated that if a deal could be reached, he would like the playmaker to remain.
Five Baggies players have contracts that expire in the summer, including Diangana. A glance at those five guys is provided here.
Diangana, Grady
Diangana is aware of his manager’s position about a possible new contract because his contract predicament has been widely reported.
After Albion’s final promotion to the Premier League in 2020, he made a big-money move from West Ham after a spectacular loan stint during which he helped the team place second in the Championship.
When he got there, he signed a five-year contract. Clubs are reportedly already keeping an eye on him, so he won’t be short of offers from other places.
Mowbray mentioned that Diangana joined Albion in the Premier League and that, given the present situation, his pay might be “pretty stretchy” for the team.
Albion would obviously need to find a compromise in order to get Diangana to stay, but it’s also obvious that his new boss wants him to stay at The Hawthorns.
Swift, John
The future of Swift, another well-known Albion player, is uncertain as his contract expires in the summer.
He joined Reading on a free transfer and signed a three-year contract in 2022, along with Jed Wallace.
After several years at Reading, Swift was considered one of the league’s top attacking midfielders, making them both significant Championship acquisitions at the time.
Even though he has scored 16 goals in 115 games since arriving, he has mostly been used as a substitute this season.
Although it’s unknown at the moment if Albion will try to offer Swift a new contract, if they weren’t considering it, things might change if Mowbray arrives.
Similar to Diangana, Mowbray has waxed poetic about Swift in the media and asked why he hasn’t been performing. In Saturday’s 5-1 victory over Portsmouth, he scored his first goal of the season, repaying his new manager’s faith.
Ajayi semi-
With his contract expiring in the summer, the Nigerian international is in his sixth and maybe last season as an Albion player.
After helping Albion gain promotion in his debut season, Ajayi returned in 2019 and signed a four-year contract.
He has played more than 25 games in every season up to this one, despite experiencing injury problems while he was a member of the team. Due to hamstring surgery, he has only participated in 12 games this season.
Back in 2022, Ajayi signed an extension with Albion. His contract expires this summer, and it’s unclear at this time if Albion would try to offer Ajayi a new contract with players like Torbjorn Heggem returning to the team and Torbjorn Heggem coming in to make an impression this season.
Bartley, Kyle
The 33-year-old signed a one-year contract extension with the team back in the summer, making this his sixth season there.
After playing in a watertight back line with Cedric Kipre last season, the seasoned defender, who has appeared in more than 200 games, was offered a contract again in the summer. West Bromwich Albion Man
When Bartley signed a one-year deal in the summer, it is thought he had to accept reduced terms. A provision in the contract stated that if he played a specific amount of games, he would be eligible for an additional year.

He has played in 19 league games for Albion this season, albeit the exact number has not been made public. He will automatically stay at Albion until 2026 if he plays the number of games outlined in his contract.
Ted Cann
Cann, the third-choice goalie, signed a new contract in the summer. West Bromwich Albion Man
While at Albion, the goalkeeper—who previously trained in Liverpool’s academy—has spent time on loan with Yeovil Town, Leamington, and AFC Telford United.
This season, he has served as the third-choice keeper behind Alex Palmer and Joe Wildsmith.
Last summer, he agreed to a one-year contract with the club holding an option to extend it for an additional year.
