Ohio State has officially secured a commitment from another elite quarterback for the Class of 2025, beating out top programs like Alabama, Tennessee, and Arizona. The Buckeyes continue to strengthen their future at the position, welcoming yet another highly-rated prospect to the program.

Ryan Day embraces the high-pressure world of college football, where careers and legacies are defined by fleeting moments on the field. Just after 12:51 a.m. on Tuesday, he emerged from another stadium tunnel, flanked by two Ohio State police officers—a testament to their far-reaching presence.

Following a pair of postgame interviews on the field of a chilly indoor stadium—roughly 90 minutes after a celebratory Gatorade shower—Day walked through a hallway near the locker room. His players had already cleared out, attendants were tidying up, and the lingering scent of victory cigars filled the air.

As he stepped into the celebratory night ahead, Day also stepped into something far less tangible yet deeply significant—a sense of belonging.

With Ohio State’s 34-23 victory over Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff National Championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Buckeyes overcame a once-dominant 31-7 lead that had narrowed late. And for Day, this win seemed to shed any lingering doubts about his place in Buckeye history. No longer an outsider in the powerhouse program he has led for six seasons, he firmly solidified his status as a championship-winning coach at Ohio State.
