Shane Steichen drops Major update on Super Bowl Sunday’s ‘Kick of Destiny’ .

“The annual ‘Kick of Destiny’ showdown between former Boston Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and his younger brother, retired Lombardi-winning quarterback Eli Manning, is set to take place this Super Bowl.

On Super Bowl Sunday (February 9th), Colts fans can tune in to FOX to watch and decide who the better kicker is from the Emmy-winning ManningCast duo.

In previous years, the field goal challenge has featured All-Pro tight end and former New England Patriots Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski, who competed in the last two events.”

This upcoming clutch field goal attempt during the ‘Super Bowl’ will be fascinating to witness—whether Peyton can channel his inner Adam Vinatieri, the legendary Colts Hall of Fame kicker (arguably the greatest in NFL history), or if he mirrors former Colt Mike Vanderjagt, who, despite an impressive career and holding the eighth-highest FG accuracy percentage in NFL history, seemed to falter in critical moments.

Although Manning would also refer to Vanderjagt as a “good kicker,” he publicly objected to Vanderjagt’s foolish remarks on Canadian television in February 2003, when the Colts’ All-Pro kicker questioned the zeal and passion of his then-Indy head coach Tony Dungy and teammate Peyton Manning. Manning later called Vanderjagt a “idiot kicker” on live national television for his inappropriate remarks at the 2023 NFL Pro Bowl in Hawaii.

What kind of field goal kicker Peyton Manning develops into on Super Bowl Sunday this year will be exciting to watch!
