During the Penn State vs. Notre Dame matchup, a consensus opinion about Georgia emerged among viewers.

In the College Football Playoff semifinal, the Penn State Nittany Lions and Notre Dame Fighting Irish faced off in an attempt to advance to the national championship. In the past, Notre Dame defeated Indiana and Georgia on their way to the Orange Bowl, while Penn State defeated SMU and Boise State to advance to the semifinals.

Before the semifinals, the Fighting Irish’s victory over the Bulldogs shook the college football world. In the quarterfinals, Notre Dame dominated the SEC title game victors, defeating Georgia 23-10. In the first half of the Orange Bowl, Notre Dame appeared to be a strong candidate to win the national championship, but they were stopped.

At the break, Penn State had a 10-3 lead over the Nittany Lions as they entered the locker room. Fans questioned the Georgia’s prior double-digit loss as the Fighting Irish labored on both sides of the field.

Given the Bulldogs’ obvious difficulties in the Orange Bowl, some fans resorted to social media to express their opinions on the Fighting Irish dominating them. “Wow Georgia must have really choked it up against Norte Dame,” a fan commented.
