When game week finally arrives and Georgia football fans get a firsthand look at Kirby Smart and the team’s preparations, it’s one of the best aspects of the postseason. Although we typically don’t get to view actual practice footage throughout the season, reporters are permitted to monitor Georgia during practice sessions on the field.
However, Smart decided to have his players practice yoga throughout the entire media session rather than working on anything productive while they were in front of the media before their College Football Playoff matchup.

Before a crucial postseason game, Smart has previously had the players do some yoga and stretching while the media is in attendance at practice. Smart made the same choice a few years ago, having his team practice yoga in front of the media at the National Championship game held in this exact building.
Even though this can appear like a dumb move, Smart probably had a valid reason for doing it. Smart probably doesn’t want to divulge any team knowledge that Notre Dame could utilize to be ready for Wednesday’s match. Although Smart could have conducted straightforward exercises with the media present that probably wouldn’t expose anything, if this was his objective, then doing nothing at all is the wisest course of action.
