No. 1 Oregon will don green and yellow jerseys, white pants, and a chrome-and-green helmet for their clash with the No. 8 Ohio State Buckeyes.

The Ducks’ uniform choice echoes the color scheme they wore during their 2010 Rose Bowl matchup against Ohio State, paying tribute to their legacy in the “Granddaddy of Them All.” With sunny weather and temperatures expected to be in the 70s, the chrome helmets are likely to shine against the picturesque stadium backdrop, as they have in previous Oregon games.

Under coach Dan Lanning, the No. 1 Oregon Ducks are having a great season after going unbeaten. Lanning discussed the Ducks’ historic season and their mindset as they get ready for a chance at the College Football Playoff and a national championship ahead of their eagerly awaited Rose Bowl rematch against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
EUGENE: Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning has led his team through an extraordinary season. For the first time in the program’s history, the Ducks boast a 13-0 record, standing as the only undefeated team in college football. In a highly anticipated Rose Bowl rematch, Oregon will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes, as the Ducks continue their pursuit of their first-ever national championship.

The losing team’s season and hopes for a national championship will come to an end, while the winner will advance to the College Football Playoff semifinals to face the victor of the Texas vs. Arizona State matchup.

In their most recent meeting, Oregon defeated Ohio State 32-31 at home in Autzen Stadium, defeating the then-No. 2 Buckeyes. The Ducks now have a second chance to win this season against Ohio State.

Only twice since 2000 has a team defeated Penn State, Michigan, and Ohio State in the same season as Oregon. Under coach Lanning, the Ducks have the chance to become the first team to defeat the Buckeyes twice in a single season, something that has never been done before.

We’re really thrilled about the opportunity to play Ohio State, who is undoubtedly a fantastic opponent. That, in my opinion, is a fantastic illustration of what the Big Ten can do. giving these two groups the chance to compete in the “Granddaddy of Them All.” Our players, staff, and myself are all incredibly thrilled about this Rose Bowl chance.
