Below is a closer look at each player who has officially signed with the Buckeyes to become part of the 2025 recruiting class.

QB Tavien St. Clair

Ohio State secured one of the top quarterbacks in the 2025 recruiting class with the signing of St. Clair.

Ranked as the No. 3 quarterback and No. 7 overall prospect in the class, St. Clair committed to Ohio State in June 2023, shortly after receiving an offer. From that point, he became the leader of Ohio State’s 2025 class, rising more than 300 spots in the 247Sports composite rankings.

The Bellefontaine native is the third-highest-rated quarterback ever to sign with Ohio State, behind only Quinn Ewers and Terrelle Pryor. He’s the first in-state quarterback to join the Buckeyes since Joe Burrow.

CB Devin Sanchez

Alongside Tavien St. Clair, Devin Sanchez is another key leader of the 2025 recruiting class. The No. 1 cornerback in the 2025 class, Sanchez committed to Ohio State in January and remained firm in his decision, even helping recruit other prospects to Columbus.

Sanchez, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 170 pounds, is known for his excellent length and athleticism. A successful track athlete, he’s well-equipped to keep up with any receiver he faces. While Ohio State’s cornerback group remains strong, Sanchez’s natural talent and instincts may allow him to make an immediate impact in his first year.

DT Jarquez Carter

Carter, a defensive tackle, officially signed on Thursday, but Ohio State had to wait an additional day.

Over the summer, Carter’s pledge to Ohio State came as a bit of a surprise, and throughout the fall, there were still whispers of a flip. Numerous Florida schools made an effort to retain the Sunshine State prospect, but in the end, he kept his word to the Buckeyes.

At 6-foot-2 and 284 pounds, this four-star defensive tackle isn’t the tallest at his position, but his strength lies in his quick release and active hand technique. He performs best as a 3-technique at the college level, where his agility and pass-rushing ability have proven difficult for Florida schools to counter in blocking schemes.
