On Sunday, the Florida Gators acquired their 22nd Class of 2025 commit after flipping an SEC commit while he was on campus.
Just one week after pledging to the Longhorns, defensive lineman Joseph Mbatchou (6-4, 275, Loganville, GA. Grayson) reversed his decision to Florida.
On Twitter, Mbatchou wrote, “Go Gators.”
After leaving the class earlier this autumn to commit to Texas last week while visiting Austin, Mbatchou, who had previously committed to Florida, returned to Gainesville on Sunday.
The Georgia native, who only began playing football after moving to the United States from Cameroon, is among the best defensive linemen in the nation and has a very high upside.
Being a very athletic 275-pound player, Mbatchou, who is in his first season of football, also plays basketball.
Mbatchou has now flipped to Florida, joining the defensive line class that includes Jayden Woods, Stephon Shivers, Jeramiah McCloud, and Jalen Wiggins.
