The Chicago Bulls will begin the season attempting to figure out how to win now that they have partially entered a rebuilding period. Despite losing star forward DeMar DeRozan throughout the offseason, Chicago has finally given in to what fans have been demanding for years.
However, the franchise still has guard Zach LaVine and center Nikola Vucevic on the roster. They have reportedly attempted to trade each and every player. But so far, nothing has come to pass.

Of the two, Vucevic has a higher chance of being traded, and there have been some recent trade speculations involving him. The Golden State Warriors’ attempt to sign the former All-Star big man has been one of the most significant.
Iva Jevtić of B92.sport conducted an interview with the former USC product, and HoopsHype translated his answers into English. When questioned about the trade rumors that have surrounding him, Vucevic appeared to deny them somewhat.
Jevtić wrote, “Speculation in the media suggested he could be traded to Golden State next season, but he insists those are merely rumors.”
“In most cases, those are really just speculations,” Vucevic stated. “If there is a call between teams, it goes out right away, and people assume that’s it. Maybe the clubs chat, maybe there was some discussion, I don’t know.
During the interview, Vucevic stated that he has not received any communication from the Bulls regarding a trade. He said it was common for these kinds of stories to begin because of Chicago’s lack of success.
“I haven’t received any information that I’ll be traded or anything,” Vucevic stated. “All I know is that they want me here, that they’re dependent on me, and that I’m staying. We could have accomplished certain things and there wouldn’t have been as many tales if the outcomes had been as good as the team. Since we didn’t have the season we had hoped for and didn’t make the playoffs, it makes sense that people would consider adjustments and such stories would begin.
Vucevic averaged 18.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game during the previous campaign. Although his defense is still a work in progress, he has demonstrated that he can be a reliable player on the attacking end of the court.
On defense, the big man is a bit of a liability, which would reduce his trade worth. Vucevic’s value has significantly decreased due to the league’s emphasis on two-way players.
