Under JJ Redick, the Los Angeles Lakers are 10-5 so far. They play with a newfound confidence and appear to be a different team.

LeBron James is still playing like one of the best players in the league at 39, while Anthony Davis is performing at the MVP level. The arrow is pointing upward, but they are aware that there is not much time left to make another title run.

There might be a great trade target available, and Los Angeles could use another shooter out on the perimeter.

NBA Rumors: Keep an Eye on Donte DiVincenzo on the Trade Block

Clutch Points’ Brett Siegel reports that DiVincenzo is being considered as a possible trade candidate.

According to insiders, Donte DiVincenzo is being considered as a potential trade target by a number of league rival teams. The 27-year-old combo guard was not enthused about the prospect of coming off the bench after being moved, despite the Timberwolves appreciating his skill set.

Despite having a silky jumper out on the perimeter, DiVincenzo is a dynamic player who can manufacture his own shot. He averages 10.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 37.3% shooting from beyond the arc for his career.

In order to acquire the 27-year-old, Los Angeles ought to contact Minnesota and make this offer.

In 2023, Gabe Vincent signed a three-year, $33 million contract with the Lakers. He has been injured and unsuccessful in spite of that contract. He shoots 28% from the field and averages 2.7 points per game this season. Vincent was a reliable shot-creator with the Miami Heat before moving to Los Angeles. He might feel more confident after a change of location.

It would be a huge win for the Lakers to send him to Minnesota with two second-round choices in return for DiVincenzo.

Making $11.4 million this season, $11.9 million in 2025–2026, and $12.5 million in 2026–2027, DiVincenzo is under contract through that season. In order for the salaries to be equal, Vincent will earn $11 million over the following two seasons.

Lakers Land NBA Champion Guard in Blockbuster Projected Trade

The Timberwolves will have plenty of draft money to work with after giving up the two second-round picks.

A youthful, athletic shooter who won an NBA Championship with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021 would be available to the Lakers in the backcourt as a result of this agreement. It would be great for the Purple and Gold to have another floor spacer next to James and Davis.

A Western Conference Contender Emerges as a New Trade Target for the Lakers.

There is a speculated ideal trade target for the Lakers, and maybe not even Rob Pelinka could make this one go wrong.

Donte DiVincenzo, a standout guard for the Timberwolves who became one of the NBA’s top high-volume outside shooters while playing for the Knicks, is apparently running out of time in Minnesota and may soon be traded.

DiVincenzo hasn’t fit in with his new team, despite being a part of the deal that brought Karl Anthony-Towns to New York. Pelinka is forced to make a strong offer for the 27-year-old guard if the rumors are accurate.

Timberwolves G Donte DiVincenzo Is Supposedly Tradeable

The Lakers, who started with a 10-5 record, have improved their three-point shooting, placing 11th in the NBA at 37.6%. Although the outburst by rookie Dalton Knecht is mostly to blame, the attack would still be transformed by a dependable veteran like DiVincenzo.

Knecht may go to small forward while DiVincenzo fills in at shooting guard, particularly with Rui Hachimura sidelined. He made 8.7 three-pointers a game last year, which was more than 40% of his total. He has earned more than 37% during his career.

Anthony Davis would have more room to work in the post if the Lakers had the same ability to stretch the floor. It probably wouldn’t take much to remove DiVincenzo from the Timberwolves’ possession if a report like this starts to circulate before Thanksgiving even arrives.

This is a clear-cut move that fits perfectly. Despite the fact that Pelinka has failed at almost every turn during his time with the Lakers, this is the most obvious move one could make.

If nothing else, he must actually call. Make the best offer you can after learning what it would take to get DiVincenzo. Otherwise, why are we here at all?
